Holiday Greetings, 2017 review, 2018 plans from Compassion-Based Therapies Training
2017 Round Up
A fantastic 2017 of compassion-focused workshops with Dennis Tirch in Brisbane and Byron in April, a Mindful Self-Compassion 5 day Intensive in June (James B-L/Tina Gibson), and in November, three Paul Gilbert Compassion Focused Therapy workshops in Melbourne, Byron and Brisbane, supported by James B-L (Byron/Brisbane) and James Kirby (Brisbane). 346 people attended these workshops. Feedback from all workshops was extremely positive. It is heartening to see how over the last 4 years, compassion-based approaches have gained a strong foothold in Australia. They are here to stay!
Online Self-Experiential Training in CBT and CFT 2018
In 2018, cbtraining will be offering several ‘live’ online self-practice/self-reflection (SP/SR) programs, based on the Guilford Press Self-Practice/Self-Reflection series.
These are likely to be 8 week once-a-week programs – initially our Strengths-based CBT SP/SR program, based on Experiencing CBT from the Inside Out: A Self-Practice/Self-Reflection Workbook for Therapists (Bennett-Levy, Thwaites, Haarhoff & Perry, 2015); and a Compassion Focused Therapy SP/SR program, based on the forthcoming Experiencing Compassion Focused Therapy from the Inside Out: A Self-Practice/Self-Reflection Workbook for Therapists (Kolts, Bell, Bennett-Levy & Irons, 2018).
If you are interested in either or both of these programs, please register that interest at http://cbttraining.com.au/self-practice-self-reflection-program/ and we will contact you in the New Year with further details.
Compassion Focused Therapy Workshops late 2018
In 2018, James B-L and Tobyn Bell (co-authors of the CFT Inside Out book) are looking to offer Compassion Focused Therapy workshops in Australia and New Zealand in October/November.
If you are interested in putting on a CFT workshop in your region, please contact email@example.com
