2017 Compassion, ACT and CBT Experiential Training
The University of Sydney’s University Centre for Rural Health is excited to be offering a unique, world class set of compassion-based programs in 2017. We are bringing to Australia two of the world leaders in compassion focused therapy, Dennis Tirch and Paul Gilbert, and offering the popular Mindful Self-Compassion program with two of Australia’s Certified MSC teachers, James Bennett-Levy and Tina Gibson.
Dennis Tirch has a huge international reputation through his five recent books offering an integration of compassion focused therapy, ACT, mindfulness, Buddhist psychology and CBT. His workshops in Brisbane (April 20-21) and Byron (April 26-28) will feature work from his recent book Buddhist Psychology and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and the forthcoming book, Experiencing ACT from the Inside Out. Check out his bio here. We have extended the early bird price to mid-March as some people have only just found out about the workshops.
Paul Gilbert needs little introduction. He is one of the world leaders in psychotherapy today – the founder of Compassion Focused Therapy. In November, he will be offering Australians something unique – the only time he has ever offered the three 3 day CFT trainings (Intro, Personal Practice, Advanced) in any country in less than 3 weeks. He will be joined by James Bennett-Levy for parts of the training. To register for Paul’s workshops, click here.
In June (5th-9th), James and Tina Gibson will be offering the 5 day experiential Mindful Self-Compassion training intensive, developed by Chris Germer and Kristin Neff. This is a deeply personally and professionally enriching program, as many have found, and an opportunity to treat yourself to a week in Byron to really ‘get compassion from the inside out’. James was also due to be offering a workshop, Experiencing CBT from the Inside Out, in August, but has had to postpone this till next year due to other commitments.
A bonus – if you register for any workshops in the first half of the year, you get $100 off a Paul Gilbert workshop!
We hope to see you in Byron, Brisbane or Melbourne. Look forward to that.
